Songwriter, producer and artist

My name is Zoe, I’m a songwriter, producer and composer creating dream soundscape like music. I grew up in Catalunya, Spain and moved to London in 2011 to study music. I taught myself to produce essentially because I didn’t have money to pay for producers, soon after starting to learn the basics I got a little obsessed and it became the way I discovered ‘my sound’. Production is now a big part of my writing and music creating. I do many things, I have my songwriter for others pop side, my dream like melancholic songs for my own project and my music for film portfolio. So far I’ve had some success writing for others and it’s something I want to do more of along with writing for my own projects.
In the summer of 2018 I completed my masters in Commercial Songwriting and Production at Tileyard studios.
One of my pieces was part of a sound installation with Martyn Ware (The Human League, Heaven 17). ‘Forest of Imagination’ is the name of the installation which took place in Bath in October 2018. The music was played on many speakers to create an immersive atmosphere.
In April 2019 I got my first international cut with Universal Music which went Gold 5 months after the release and is currently platinum. 'Lay Low' is sung by Roxie WÄ™giel (2018 winner of Junior Eurovision and the Voice Kids Poland). The video hit 1 million views in 2 days and is currently at 14 million. In early 2020 I was invited to take part in a Universal music songwriting camp. One of the main artists that we were pitching to was Carla Fernandes, being fluent in Spanish, I wrote one of her most successful singles so far, ‘Entera’. The song was released in August last year and was in 13 new music Friday playlists the day it came out including new music Friday Latin which has 460k followers.
Everything I’ve done so far has been because of networking, courses I’ve been a part of, events I’ve gone to, panels..etc a lot of networking! I like connecting with people and know that a project is successful with a lot of work behind it. Recently I’ve had some interest with my film music, currently I’m talking to SixtyFour Music and 88 West Music.
In November last year I released my first single under Zoë Z called Tiptoe. I wrote, produced and mixed the track. I did a one take video of me roller skating in early September, this was filmed at 7am to catch the sunrise. I’m also a video editor and photographer so visuals are very important to me, I like to have themes, moods and colours that portray each song or project. I love finding new ways of connecting music and visuals.
